Read-in is a collective artistic project researching the social and political implications of reading, initiated by artist Annette Krauss and theatre maker Hilde Tuinstra. One main activity of Read-in is the act of creating instant collective reading sessions in other people's homes.

As members of the Read-in research team
we designed an insert about the project for
C Magazine's Fall 2011 Libraries issue. The insert is a step-by-step explanation offering insight and stimulating readers to initiate their own collective reading sessions. It is designed to be taken out of the magazine, allowing users to easily re-insert it into other books, spreading the word about Read-in.

Recent projects of Read-in also include a bookshelf research for Chicago Boys at If I can't dance, Amsterdam and a contribution to P for Performance by Maja Bekan, including research into the Van Abbemuseum library and a special Eindhoven Read-in session.
